According to Crucial, Acer Aspire 5500 series laptops can handle up to 4GB RAM total and you can install up to 2GB RAM module into each memory slot. Use Crucial Memory Advisor tool to find the correct memory type.

Acer Ferrari 3400LMi-upgrade

Acer Ferrari keyboard

This step-by-step guide illustrates how to replace the keyboard on an Acer Ferrari laptop. Instructions were created for Ferrari 4000 series.

The entire operation to replace built in Laptop keyboard takes but a few minutes and requires one small screwdriver plus one small philips screw driver.

Be careful when you insert the screwdriver between the keyboard and the laptop case to release latches. If the screwdriver accidentally slides up, you can pop up a key cap from a key on the keyboard.

Acer Aspire 5000 repair

You have an Acer Aspire 5000 series laptop. The power port (DC jack) inside the laptop got broken and of course the laptop is out of warranty. What can you do? You can take it to a repair shop and pay tons of money OR fix the laptop yourself.

Thanks to Charles for his Acer Aspire 5000 disassembly instructions. The power connector is soldered to the motherboard and in order to replace the connector you’ll have to take the whole laptop apart and remove the motherboard. If you feel uncomfortable taking the laptop apart, do not even try it. You can damage the laptop.

Acer Extensa 5400 internal Bluetooth

This tutorial will help to install an internal Bluetooth v2.0 adapter into your Acer Extensa 5420 notebook. I think this tutorial might work for Extensa 5620 notebook series too, but I’m not 100% sure.
